Advancement, Honours and AP Programmes
The Advanced Placement (AP) program enables our high school students to earn university credit while gaining experience with college/university level courses. It helps students stand out in admissions, expand their knowledge and explore subjects in greater depth and detail.
Purpose
- To provide a coordinated, rich and exciting curriculum by helping our students develop analytical thinking and writing skills
- To assist and mentor students in becoming successful throughout their academic and professional careers
To engage students in active, high-level learning by fostering an appreciation of quality work and diligent effort.
Student Goals

- be flexible and able to revise goals when necessary
- (Honours) to be prepared for the Advanced Placement (AP)high school program
- (AP) to gain early experience for college and university and earn advanced university credit

Registration Procedure
- Follows the regular CMPS registration process
- All Honours and AP programs require an interview with our principal to determine eligibility
A commitment to completing the Honours and AP programs at Cornerstone is required to ensure consistency and academic accountability
