About the Scholarship
Cornerstone Montessori Prep School seeks students who demonstrate a genuine passion for learning and a desire to grow into thoughtful, capable individuals who will positively impact their communities. Rooted in our commitment to Inspiring Possibilities, this scholarship recognizes students who embody academic excellence, strong Christian character, and a readiness to contribute meaningfully to the world around them.
The CMPS Academic Excellence Entrance Scholarship is available to new students applying to Cornerstone Montessori Prep School.
Academic Eligibility & Scholarship Amounts
Scholarship eligibility is determined by the student’s overall average from their most recent report card. Higher academic achievement corresponds to a higher scholarship award.

Required Application Materials
All students applying for the CMPS Academic Excellence Entrance Scholarship must complete an additional application form, available during the enrolment process, and submit the following:
1. Personal Essay
The personal essay should:
- Communicate the student’s mindset, personal aspirations, and long-term goals
- Reflect the student’s character, integrity, and alignment with Christian values such as respect, compassion, humility, and responsibility
- Show how the student intends to engage with and contribute to the Cornerstone community—academically, socially, and through leadership or service
2. Samples of School Work & Extracurricular Activities
Students must include recent examples of academic work and/or evidence of extracurricular involvement that demonstrate:
- Initiative, creativity, or academic curiosity
- Leadership potential or active participation in clubs, arts, athletics, or community service
- Commitment to personal growth and a willingness to contribute to the school community
Qualities of an Ideal Candidate
An ideal candidate for the CMPS Academic Excellence Entrance Scholarship will:
- Show a love for learning and readiness for challenging, rigorous coursework
- Demonstrate honesty, responsibility, and alignment with Christian values
- Have experience in, or strong potential for, leadership in projects, extracurricular activities, or community initiatives
- Display a genuine commitment to helping others
- Articulate a clear sense of personal purpose and how they hope to contribute to the Cornerstone community and beyond
